Job Description Reporting to the QLD State Manager for our Building Markets segment, you will undertake both business development and account management responsibilities for regional QLD. Your area of responsibility will encompass Cairns down towards Gladstone. The role will see you undertake activity such as:

  • Provide feedback on, and input into, product and market segment plans;
  • Manage customer relationships and performance;
  • Develop strategies to achieve sustainable relationships with industry stakeholders;
  • Create and execute account plans in alignment with sales channel strategy; and
  • Deliver profitability and sales targets (e.g. volume, EBIT and market share) for direct and indirect customers.
You will develop and manage a call cycle plan to service your region. Predicted travel is up to two weeks total per month including travelling to Brisbane to spend time with your manager and team members. What are we looking for? Whilst there is a preference for this position to be based in Townsville, the business is open to discussing Cairns as an alternate location. We welcome applications from B2B sales professionals with both business development and account management experience. Exposure to building and construction industry would be desirable however, importantly you will demonstrate:
  • well-developed interpersonal and communication skills;
  • exposure to working with direct and indirect customer channels;
  • knowledge of using CRM and sales management process; and
  • ability to leverage customer and market information to develop attractive value propositions.
