We are currently looking to appoint an experienced Critical Building Documents Administrator to support the Infrastructure and Property Group for our Higher Education client in Geelong. This assignment will run for approximately 6 months.

Your new role

Duties will include but not me limited to:

  • Locate and categorise existing University building permits and associated critical building documents.
  • Record and store existing building permits and associated critical building documents in register and Content Manager.
  • Identify gaps in building permits and associated critical building documents and source documents from relevant Councils.
  • Liaise with external parties such as Councils and Building Surveyors to obtain relevant information.
  • Provide support to Critical Building Documents Working Group.
  • Other related duties as requested.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have :

  • Experience in building permit applications in an architectural office, or experience in building permit assessments for a building surveyor or Council building department.
  • Knowledge of the building permit application process and familiarity with the range of supporting documentation that must be provided as part of a permit.
  • Experience in Content Manager (formerly known as TRIM - Enterprise document and records management system) *desirable.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Adobe suite and Microsoft Office suite of programs with proven computer literacy including Windows based computer programs with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrate high level of administration skills, with the proven ability to organise and plan, and meet rigid and conflicting demands and deadlines.
  • Proven capability to work positively and effectively as part of a collaborative work team, to accommodate and work well with different working styles and to work independently where required.
