Provide high quality clinical services for women with screen detected abnormalities at the assessment clinic and discussion of surgical options with women requiring open biopsy, consistent with the aims, objectives and standards of BreastScreen Australia.

About the Role

Clinical assessment of women with screen detected abnormalities, recalled to the assessment clinic including FNA biopsy on clinically palpable lesions.
Advice regarding the appropriate diagnostic procedures for these women.
Discussion with women diagnosed with breast cancer regarding future management.
Participation and discussion of the assessment of women recalled to the assessment clinic as part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Surgeon, Radiologist and Medical Officers.
Participation in regular clinico-pathology meetings with Radiologists, Pathologists, Surgeon, and Medical Officers of the Screening and Assessment Service in order to review fine needle aspiration, cytology and biopsy diagnoses of screen detected cases.
Participation in QA programs set up by the Screening Service.
Comply with and utilise procedures, policies, regulations and standards which impact upon the position, including contemporary human resource management requirements and practices, such as workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination policies.
Comply with confidentiality of BreastScreen Australia, protocols and accreditation requirements.
