SecureEnergy, a Clough Elecnor Joint Venture, has been selected to deliver the engineering, procurement, and construction of Project EnergyConnect. EnergyConnect is a new 700 km 330 kV transmission line running from Wagga Wagga in NSW to Robertstown in SA. The project scope also includes the construction of supporting infrastructure, such as substations and access roads along the route of the transmission line. When built, EnergyConnect will enable future renewable energy projects to connect to the electricity grid.

SecureEnergy are currently seeking a Local Industry Participation Officer. You will support the delivery of the Local Industry Participation Plan to achieve key deliverables and produce positive outcomes for the community.

The position will initially be based in Sydney but will transfer to various site locations in regional NSW.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all internal procurement and document control systems are updated and contain current information.
  • Ensuring that all client systems (Consultation Manager and Team Binder) are updated and contain current information.
  • Tracking of Procurement Status Register and reporting on changes in package status and timing.
  • Following up on all tenderers Subcontractor Local Industry Participation Plans.
  • Administration and revision of ICN Gateway reports.
  • Tracking priority businesses through prequalification.
  • Collecting and consolidating information for weekly, monthly, and quarterly client reporting.
  • Co-ordinating meetings/events with external stakeholders.
  • Taking minutes during meeting and updating relevant systems post meeting.
  • Following up internal stakeholders for information.

Your skills and experience:

You will be an effective collaborator and team player, will have a good knowledge of local content development in the Construction sector along with:

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of working in a procurement or commercial function.
  • Experience in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders in particular businesses.
  • Knowledge of document control practices and systems as applied to the management of projects.
  • Strong computer literacy skills.
  • Integrity, attention to detail, time consciousness, accountability.
