Centre of Clinical Research and Education
The Curtin Centre for Clinical Research and Education (CCRE) was established in 2017 and is based within the School of Population Health in the Faculty of Health Science at Curtin University. Our mission is to improve health outcomes at the individual, community and population level through the generation of evidence based on the conduct of world class clinical research and education.
The focus of the CCRE is on cardiovascular diseases, but we also have an interest in other areas, including nutrition, musculoskeletal disease, oncology and ageing.
Your role
We are seeking a positive and pro-active self-starter to provide broad support to a team of professional and academic staff in the School of Population Health and undertake general administrative activities that support the day-to-day operational effectiveness of the team and their research operations.

Your role

In this role you will…
- Provide administrative support across all areas of the CCRE including, but not limited to, the Clinical Trials Unit, Healthy Living Clinic and the Clinical Trials & Data Management Centre.
- Schedule and co-ordinate meetings, events, agenda and minutes to ensure the smooth operations of the CCRE.
- Prepare documentation as required (e.g. reports, minutes of meetings, correspondence), using the full range and features of MS Office applications
- Engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders, sponsors and government departments to maintain positive working relationships.
- Monitor the team’s freephone number, website and refer incoming enquiries from potential trial participants.

We are looking for someone with…
- Completion of a diploma qualification with relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Extensive experience in coordinating the administrative requirements of a busy office.
- Flexible approach to work and the ability to apply skills to a varied range of different tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple and competing tasks.
- Demonstrated advanced computer skills, particularly in the Microsoft suite of applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to use discretion and knowledge to determine appropriate actions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience within a health or research setting is desirable.
- Previous experience utilising Wordpress software would be advantageous.
