An Opportunity is now available with Raytheon for an Environmental Health, Safety & Wellbeing (EHS&W) Specialist who wants to be part of something big. The EHS&W Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation of the company’s EHS Management Framework. The role will be required to ensure alignment with the company’s legal requirements, regulations and standards, providing advice and support to business operations, maintaining a compliant EHS Management System as well as liaising with internal and external stakeholders on environment, health and safety matters.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including health & safety representatives, varied workgroups, customer representatives and sub-contractors including deployment of stakeholder management plan.
Coach and deploy the principles of risk management.
Coach and enable the business to understand and manage relevant risks through use of tools such as risk workshops and risk registers.
Support the implementation of the EHS Management System in accordance with the relevant requirements, standards and regulations.
Assist in the development and delivery of site specific and company-wide EHS training and communication.
Partner with leaders to ensure that they are aware of training and risk requirements and the status of training completion and coordinate hazard and incident reporting
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Requires a University Degree in Workplace Health & Safety or similar discipline or suitable experience (Industrial Hygiene would be highly regarded)
Previous experience making improvements to processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the work area. (Shipyard experience would be highly regarded)
Risk Assessment training and Hazardous Chemical Management training or suitable experience
Auditing and knowledge of management systems would be highly regarded
ICAM Lead Investigator training or suitable experience
Requires advanced knowledge of environment, health and safety and risk management work areas.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva.
