About the role

In this role, your duties will involve working closely with an experienced team under the supervision of our headteacher and will include responsibilities such as:

• Teaching in a virtual classroom (8-10 students) using our research-based curriculum both after school and/or Saturday
• Small group teaching sessions.
• Lesson preparation(minimal), we use a Pre-written curriculum & structured training program to suit all learning types
• Lesson and Homework Marking
• Attending training sessions
• Communication with parents regarding student progression.

Skills and experience

• Experience with teaching online using Zoom and competent with online learning management system (Canvas)
• The required teaching qualification & Experience teaching in Australian schools
• Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum
• NSW Working With Children's Check and Police check

We look for someone who:

• Possesses a genuine passion for teaching
• Is a bubbly, open-minded person
• Has knowledge of the current NSW Education Standards Authority curriculum in stage ES1-S3
• Hold a current WWCC
• Holds (or about to complete) a degree in Education and/or a degree in Arts, Philosophy, History plus a Diploma in Education
