Townsend Building Services (TBS) is a fast-growing family business specialising in high end construction, fit out and building repairs for the Insurance Industry and Aged Care Refurbishment Projects. From humble beginnings in 1993 the company has grown organically to nearly 100 employees across eleven (11) branches along the east coast of Australia stretching from Cairns to Melbourne, then across from Adelaide to Perth.

We are currently seeking a full-time experienced Human Resources professional to be based in our head office located in Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast. Office hours range from 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.

This role requires the individual to oversee the Human Resources needs for the business. The successful candidate will be able to manage the recruitment and staff selection, including terminating employees, with proven success in maintaining HR personnel and creating and implementing organisational programs. We are looking for someone who is comfortable strategising with senior leadership and has the ability to think “big picture”.

Key responsibilities involve managing and executing all Human Resource initiatives, including:

· Manage the talent acquisition, recruitment and onboarding process, including assessing staffing needs, interviewing, hiring and inductions

· Provide employee relations support on various matters, including grievance resolution, workflow documentation, and conduct and performance management

· Organise employee performance reviews and advise senior leadership on outcomes, trends and staff performance

· Provide HR administration support including maintenance of personnel files, development of operational processes and procedures, and creation and distribution of employment contracts, revised pay plans, etc.

· Foster an efficient, engaged and conflict-free workplace culture through implementation of corporate cultural initiatives

To be successful for this role, you MUST have the following:

· A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and/or Human Resources, or relevant tertiary qualification

· At least 2 years relevant experience required

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· High level of organisational skills and exceptional work ethic

· Have experience working with confidentiality and discretion

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

· Professional attitude

· The ability to work autonomously and hit the ground running

The salary for this position will range between AUD65,000-AUD85,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.
