We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Lead Installation Engineer to take responsibility for coordination of installation design (liaison between design and installation teams), subcontractor and installation team coordination, managing the installation drawings and coordination with all other partners across the Sydney Metro City and Southwest project, Australia’s largest public transport project!
Key Responsibilities Of This Role Include
- Prepare and execute installation engineering activities including site survey, mark-up and management of installation drawings for trackside equipment, cable routes and signalling equipment rooms, work method statements, Bill of Materials
- Manage interfaces with other project stakeholders internally and externally in order to deliver the installation engineering documentation and drawings
- Provision of regular and transparent updates regarding work package and document progress against schedule
- Support the wider project team in the identification of risks and potential mitigation plans
- Lead and mentor more junior engineers and site installation teams to improve the overall delivery of the installation scope of work.
- Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Telecommunications)
- Background working within the rail and/or transport environment
- Significant exposure to mechanical design & integration
- Previous experience working with complex, multi-discipline teams (from software through to installation of hardware in the field)
- Enthusiasm and the ability to self manage and own your own scope of work.
