About our Client

The Hail Creek open cut coal mine in the Bowen Basin Region of Central Queensland, that is located 120 kilometres from Mackay, supplies up to eight million tonnes of hard coking coal to steel mills in Asia and Europe each year.

Glencore is a leading mining company in Australia with an established record for developing and managing world standard coal mines. The Hail Creek Mine is an example of the company providing more than simply providing local employment opportunities and ensuring economic growth for the area as it also works to create positive outcomes for the wider Mackay Region.

About the role

WorkPac currently have a number of opportunities for experienced Electric and Mechanical Truck Operators to commence work immediately.

An absolute commitment to working safely, complying with all site safety standards, and ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace is essential. It is imperative that you possess the ability and aptitude to maintain high standards of safety, equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance with mine working procedures.

To be successful in these roles you will have the following:

1. Experienced in Mechanical and Electric Haul Trucks
2. Current Standard 11 or obtain
3. Current Coal Board Medical or obtain
4. Current Driver's Licence
5. A willingness to work rotating rosters
6. Ability to contribute and work positively in a team environment
7. Sound Work History
