Alumni Program Manager (Ongoing Part-Time - 3-Days Per Week)


AFTRS is Australia's Screen and Broadcast School, established to fuel and empower Australian creativity and storytelling. AFTRS is consistently rated as one of the top film schools in the world.


We are looking for an experienced an experienced and accomplished Alumni Program Manager to join the Partnerships & Development team in this newly established role. You will be responsible for planning and managing a program of high quality communications, benefits, and events specifically designed to engage and promote our Alumni.


About the role:

As Alumni Program Manager at AFTRS, you will:

  • Develop, implement, and manage a communications strategy to build and maintain close and regular communications with our Alumni.
  • Develop and implement a plan for Alumni benefits and events based on the strategy developed by the Head of Industry and Alumni Engagement.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to develop meaningful and engaging communications and content.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Alumni, ensuring appropriate feedback mechanisms are in place and relevant feedback is passed on to the relevant teams at AFTRS.
  • Work closely with the Program and Events Manager to deliver high quality Alumni events and experiences.


About you:

You have the following attributes:

  • Significant film, TV and/or radio industry experience (minimum 5-years).
  • High level writing skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to engage multiple stakeholders and audiences.
  • Highly motivated and outcome focused with a demonstrated ability to act proactively and with sound judgement within established parameters.
  • Excellent relationship building skills including the ability to build rapport and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • High level problem solving skills including the ability to deal positively with feedback and resolve complaints from Alumni.


Demonstrated experience of managing an alumni program within a tertiary environment or similar membership program will be a distinct advantage.

Salary: AFTRS Level 7 $94,077 - $101,473 (pro-rata) + up to 15.4% superannuation, plus excellent benefits package.
