  • Overall management of the Permits and Transport Commission mailboxes, including ensuring the effective management of the flow of applications by other parties in relation to the various legislation.
  • Administration of Transport Commission Workflows for Notifications to change a local highway, Request for Speed Limit changes and Transport Commission general approval.
  • Provide high level advice and undertake administrative activities regarding Ministerial and Transport Commission and other delegations to Council and internal State Growth staff under relevant legislation, including ensuring these are up-to-date and the Divisional/Agency processes are followed.
  • Lead the management and amendment of online application forms relating to approvals activities with a continuous improvement focus.
  • Manage the ongoing testing process in relation to online application forms relating to approvals activities.
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge base for technical queries regarding more complex works.
  • Undertake legislative research and review as required; prepare option and recommendation papers for improvement in the delivery of approvals administration.
  • Provide high level administrative support to the Manager Approvals, including preparation of correspondence and the creation of permits.
  • Provide a high level of customer service, including liaison within Government and industry, particularly with regards to the proper submission of applications and associated documents; and compliance with relevant legislation and Departmental timeframes.
  • Assist Manager Approvals in supporting staff and overseeing tasks to ensure they are completed appropriately and on time.

Desirable Requirements

  • A relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in a relevant field.
