About Shouta


Shouta is revolutionising digital gifting by introducing the micro gift - small , digital gifts that are sent to someone as a token of your thoughts. Shouters easily shout friends and family small gifts like coffee, drinks and anything else at the click of a button. Their recipient, or Shoutee, receives an instant SMS with a link to download the Shouta app. This gives them access to a prepaid, digital Shouta Mastercard that enables them to redeem their Shout wherever Mastercard is accepted.

We have big plans both for the Australian market and beyond and we are looking for this role to be a key member of our management team.


The role


Reporting to the CEO, as the Marketing Manager, you will lead the charge to bring Shouta to millenials around Australia. This role will manage growth marketing, and be responsible for managing our digital and offline marketing efforts. This will be a very hands on role initially, and then as we grow, you will build out a team to support our growth objectives. 


What you'll do


You will create, manage and develop our user acquisition strategy; be full of groundbreaking exciting ideas to optimize acquisition both online and offline.


You will deliver integrated, 360-degree marketing campaigns, applying the learnings of the most efficient activities to fuel growth across channels from your best work.


You will own all digital and non digital acquisition channels including the marketing budgets for these.


You will play an active role in defining and evolving our communications strategy including our PR activities.


You will monitor and look for ways to improve organic and earned media, including social media and content marketing.


You will constantly be optimizing for budget and performance goals.


You will proactively monitor all paid media campaigns, analyze results to identify improvements and optimise effectively.


You will build and present monthly/quarterly/seasonal business reviews.


Who you are


  • You have 5+ years in consumer acquisition marketing roles (a plus if you have experience with a mobile app or have worked in a start up)
  • You are a growth hacker at heart, and are always looking for creative ways to reach users
  • You have online and offline marketing experience, with proven ability to successfully develop and execute integrated, multi-channel, customer-centric campaigns.
  • Fluent in all aspects of the marketing mix - including brand, media buying, design, social media, content marketing, events and sponsorships.
  • Excellent analytical skills; demonstrated success using data to make decisions that deliver results.
  • You have strong paid social platform knowledge (able to setup, optimise and self manage) including Instagram and Facebook.
  • You are experienced with Google AdWords (UAC, Search, Display)
  • You have a passion for experimenting and optimizing.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a dynamic and unstructured work environment with the ability to stay calm and collected in moments of ambiguity.
  • You are motivated to join a startup and have exposure across the business, beyond your key responsibilities.
  • You are detail-oriented with an aptitude for process optimization.
  • You have commercial sense and problem-solving skills.
  • You are a collaborative, team player and always up for a brainstorm.
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English.
  • You have advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint skills.
  • You have experience with email marketing platforms and analytics tools.
