Duties:
The Department of Veterans' Affairs is seeking registrations from eligible candidates for non-ongoing (temporary) employment and intermittent/irregular (casual) employment opportunities across a broad range of classifications, business areas and locations across Australia.

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) exists to meet the Nation’s commitment to care for our veteran and defence service community – the men and women who have served Australia in time of war and conflict as well as peacetime. This commitment extends to the families of these individuals. We do this through programs of care, compensation, commemoration and Defence support services. DVA is both a policy and service delivery agency.

In response to changed veteran needs and expectations, DVA is embarking on the largest transformation program it has undertaken for decades with a view to be putting veterans and their families first.

Eligibility:
To be eligible for all non-ongoing employment, applicants must be Australian citizens.

Candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment process.

These are non-ongoing opportunities for periods of twelve months or less. These opportunities will be offered for a specified term or for duties that are intermittent/irregular. The DVA Temporary Employment Register will be updated every six months in February & August each year, please ensure you re-apply at the end of each 6 month period.
