CareFlight is an Australian not-for-profit aeromedical organisation proudly voted as 2019’s most reputable charity. Our mission is to save lives, speed recovery and serve the community.

We operate from locations in NSW, northern WA and the Top End of the NT. Our specially trained doctors, nurses and paramedics use helicopters, aeroplanes, medi-jets and road ambulances to bring a hospital level of care to over 5,000 patients each year. We also deploy medical professionals to remote oil, gas & mining sites, both onshore and offshore.

The role

We are currently seeking an aeromedical cleaner to join our Northern Operation based operations team on a full-time, maximum term basis.

As a key member of the crew, you will work with a team of professionals and be part of a leading aeromedical organisation. Key responsibilities will include:

  • cleaning of all CareFlight aircraft and transport vehicles as directed, ensuring all equipment utilised on shifts is cleaned, and stored in the appropriate storage areas, and waste is disposed of to keep all staff, patients and families safe;
  • all functions associated with cleaning, and preparation of cleaning equipment;
  • maintaining adequate cleaning stock levels and cleaning equipment integrity;
  • maintaining communication networks with operational staff ensuring quality clinical and operational outcomes are achieved;
  • operation of basic communication and computer aids; and
  • additional ground support duties (within your scope of practice) as requested by your Manager.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • a minimum 1-3 yearsexperience in hospital / industrial cleaning, or similar cleaning role;
  • excellent time management skills;
  • a demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually;
  • a demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision;
  • a current Driver’s Licence;
  • preparedness to don and doff personal protective equipment and use as required when cleaning; and
  • be appropriately vaccinated to perform role

The following will also be highly regarded:

  • Previous aviation industry experience.
  • Experience with donning and doffing and using personal protective equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently navigate email and Microsoft programs.
