About the role
This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity for you to make a positive impact in the lives of People with a Disability.
We are looking for a Support Worker to take on regular shifts with a male client based in the Bentley area. It will be important to build a rapport with the client to encourage engagement in supports. You must have experience working with clients with challenging behaviours, have a calming nature and an interest in sports and fitness.
We have a casual contract and the potential for permanent hours within the next few months. Shifts will be between Monday to Saturday.

Key Responsibilities
- Support our clients to work towards achieving their individual aims
- Support in day to day living, promoting cooking, housekeeping, hygiene, shopping, going to the gym etc.
- Liaise and collaborate with consumers, their community and community support agencies
- Monitor and review client’s progress through the service and against the case plan
- Utilise positive behaviour strategies
- Maintenance of progress notes and record keeping
Skills & Experience
- Experience with mental health, complex needs and behaviours
- Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
- Certificate III Community Services, Disability or similar or willingness to obtain
- A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals of people with disabilities
- A professional and positive outlook about direct care work
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 & HLTAID001)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (online via NDIS Commission website)
- NDIS Screening Check (online via NDIS Commission website)
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
