POLICY OFFICER
- Annual Salary Range: $87,640 - $99,438 + super (as per VPS Enterprise Agreement 2020)
- Tenure: Fixed Term until 31/12/2021
- Employment Type: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
- Usual Work Location: Work from Home, Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available)
About the Opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced Policy Officer to provide advice and support in the development, implementation and evaluation of emergency management and resilience policy and planning, as well as identifying solutions to strategic issues that affect the transport sector.
About You
As our ideal candidate, you will have the following:
- Demonstrated experience in policy analysis and development, and the ability to analyse and develop innovative solutions to complex policy issues.
- Demonstrated ability to inform the development of advice to senior levels of Government on policy and regulatory issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills which includes the preparation of submissions, reports, succinct briefings, and delivery of information tailored to a specific audience.
- The ability to develop effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at senior levels within the community, the private and public sectors to achieve policy outcomes.
- Proven experience in managing small projects, reporting on progress towards a broader objective and working effectively in a team environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable (for example Bachelor of Economics, Law, Public Administration or equivalent).
