Who are we?

B Lab is the not-for-profit organisation behind Certified B Corporations — or B Corps. We’re working to transform the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet. A leader in economic systems change, our global network creates standards, policies, and tools for business, and we certify companies who are leading the way. To date, our community includes over 3,700 B Corps in 74 countries and 150 industries, and more than 100,000 companies manage their impact with the B Impact Assessment.

Our team in Australia & New Zealand is small and nimble, but we’re part of a large global network and an even larger movement.

What’s the role?

The Team Support is a full-time role, supporting the entire team in our work growing and nurturing the community of over 300 B Corps across Australia & New Zealand. The role includes administration of our team and office, handling our inbound queries and correspondence and managing our records and data.

A typical week for you might look like:

  • Triaging inbound requests for information and help, from B Corps and other businesses who are working on our platforms, responding where you can and directing them to other team members or online resources
  • Working with our Accounts provider and CEO to manage invoicing processes
  • Updating records in Salesforce and other systems
  • Organising meetings and events for our team
  • Drafting reports including collating data

Who are you?

We may be a small team, but we play a big part in supporting our B Corps for success. We also have a lot of fun doing it. You’ll love working with us if you are:

  • Values-led: you identify with our mission of using business as a force for good, and want to help create social and environmental impact
  • Great with detail: you care about consistency and pick up on the little things
  • A problem-solver: you are happy to challenge the status quo and look for new solutions
  • Willing to learn: you are preferably familiar with Salesforce, but a demonstrated ability to learn new tools is the next best thing
  • A good time manager: you are known for using your time well and keeping on top of deadlines
  • Empathetic: you care about your coworkers and their changing priorities, pressures and needs, and are always willing to help

The tools we use

Our work is in Slack, Asana, Google Suite (Docs, Slides, and Sheets), Salesforce, Pardot, Canva, Wix, and Xero. It’s OK if you don’t have experience with these platforms, as long as you’re willing to learn.

The way we work

Our office is based in Melbourne’s CBD, but we work remotely and flexibly when needed. Our small team connects with regular virtual meetings, including the occasional call with our peers overseas. We collaborate with our global network to share best practices and work on projects, and work with a passionate community of businesses here in Australia & New Zealand.
