About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a national Human Resources team based in our modern Melrose Park Head Office. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will be an all-round generalist with a great track record in assisting with staff human resources management. You will primarily provide managers with HR support and advice covering the employee lifecycle and will be able to provide advice in line with current legislation and organisational policy. In addition, you will contribute to HR projects and initiatives to ensure the continual improvement of HR services. We are seeking someone who thrives in an environment where no two days are the same and enjoys being part of a supportive and collaborative team.

This role is being offered on a full time, ongoing basis and is situated at our Melrose Park Head Office. Some intrastate and interstate travel may be required.

You’ll also experience the work/life balance that comes with working a 9-day fortnight, with a dedicated and fixed day off every second week. You will still receive the remuneration of a full-time employee in addition to the ability to salary sacrifice. 

What we're looking for

  • A person with at least 3 years previous generalist HR experience covering the full employee lifecycle
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and maturity;
  • Demonstrated experience in interpreting and applying policy and legislation;
  • High level administration skills and IT literacy, including Word, Excel, Outlook, accurate data entry and ability to type at a minimum of 30 wpm with accuracy;
  • Willingness to travel intrastate and interstate for short periods as required;
  • Degree qualifications in Human Resources, Law or a related discipline; and
  • A good communicator who will liaise confidently and respectfully with our staff and management.

Remuneration

A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. As Workskil Australia is a public benevolent institution, we can also offer a portion of the salary through tax effective salary packaging.
