JOB DESCRIPTION

$20.12 - $22.00 per hour

Private OncoPlastic Surgery Clinic seeks an independent, friendly receptionist/front office administrator who enjoys a challenge, multitasks well and a team player for an immediate start.

You will be working alongside a specialist surgeon in multiple locations around Sydney, based at Potts Point.

This role is 2-3 days per week (with a view to full time for the right person) Monday - Friday hours of 9am - 5pm (with some flexibility required on occasion).

If you are knowledgeable or keen to learn about OncoPlastic and Cosmetic Surgery and can combine this with a sales focus, outstanding customer service, and care for and support of all current and prospective patients, then you are the person we are looking for!

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

-Meeting and greeting of patients
-Receiving phone calls in an efficient and timely manner
-Booking appointments and procedures
-Management of all patient data, correspondence and scanning of documents
-Invoicing and receipting of consultations and surgical procedures
-Liaising with hospital staff and booking procedures
-Proofreading typed letters
-Must be able to work pro-actively, independently and autonomously
-Must be able to drive to clinics based in Bella Vista, Camperdown, Rozelle and Bowral (once a month only)
-You will need to maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the clinic

Essential Criteria:

-Minimum 1 year of experience in medical administration role.
-Knowledge and experience with Genie medical software.
-Outstanding administrative/organisational and computer/social media skills.
-Excellent communication skills and customer service.
-High attention to detail is required.
-Must be able to travel between clinic locations.

Desirable Criteria

-Previous Experience working in a Surgical Specialist Clinic.
-Experience in Medicare and Health fund billing.
-A professional attitude with excellent people skills & appropriate appearance in line with clinic values.
-Tertiary qualifications in medical administration, business or practice management is advantageous.
-Knowledge of medical terminology.
-Ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks and ability to remain diplomatic and calm in busy periods and challenging situations.
-A high level of personal integrity, honesty and trustworthiness in line with our clinic values.
-A high standard of work ethic, PRO-ACTIVE and SELF-MOTIVATED.
-The ability to work as part of a team but also independently.
-Open to assisting Doctor in non-administration tasks, if required.

PLEASE NOTE: PREVIOUS SURGICAL SPECIALIST CLINIC EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED, but if you are an outstanding candidate we are happy to train you.
