About the Role

Glenelg Shire Council is changing the way we design and deliver services to achieve our aspirations of becoming a customer-focused 'digital first' organisation. This position will play a key role in the delivery of Councils Digital Transformation Strategy.

Based in Portland, this is a unique and exciting opportunity for a highly talented, experienced, and motivated Business Analyst who has excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 

You will be an empowered team member having the unique opportunity to be involved in the project at an early stage, to own and influence the implementation of the solution and the approach of process management across Council. 

Responsible for business process improvements through continuous improvement cycles you will achieve this by drawing on your previous experience and by working in a collaborative approach with the organisation to identify, prioritise, analyse, map, engineer and automate workflows and process.

You will have:

  • Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively across the whole organisation. 
  • Natural ability to simplify and breakdown and analyse complex data, scenarios, processes, and messaging providing clarity for stakeholders.
  • Enthusiasm for change, bringing energy and commitment.

  • Vendor management experience
  • Local government experience is not required.
  • Expertise and current knowledge of market trends and initiatives that will enable you to identify opportunities for enhancement and lead to the designs of innovative solutions.
