About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced UX Designer to join our design team in helping us launch exciting new features to our ever growing audience across the world. Part of an Agile Product Delivery team you will work closely with Developers, QA, Comms, Product Management and other UX team members to define the user experience and champion the needs of our users. Key responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with teams across the organisation in defining product roadmaps, features and product backlog items whilst ensuring consistent use of the CourseLoop Design System
  • Understanding key business drivers and defining experience metrics against those drivers, measure and report on results, and champion Experience Strategy and enhancements based on analysis of results data
  • Being an advocate of the user and empowering the entire organisation to explore and solve user challenges and issues in a collaborative and creative fashion
  • Confidently facilitating design workshops and concept presentations with clients and senior management from early stage to pre-launch
  • Leading multiple projects from conception to completion in accordance with deadlines
  • Iterate on designs with feedback from user research, testing, clients and stakeholders
  • Asking smart questions, taking calculated risks, and championing new ideas

What you will need:

You will be a highly collaborative, experienced UX Designer with a strong demonstrable portfolio that showcases your process, and with a focus on web and app design (demonstrating knowledge of web technologies, typical online patterns, and core online experiences)

  • A degree in a design discipline or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a designer
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to understand detailed requirements and determine a plan that will ensure they are met or exceeded
  • Demonstrated experience in working effectively in a team setting to rapidly wrangle complex problems and shaping concrete simple solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate the creative vision, concepts, ideas, and solutions to stakeholders, internal teams, and clients
  • Identify insights from customer research through unmoderated and moderated techniques, interviews, surveys and assist with research recruitment
  • Be excited about gathering feedback and iterating through designs to arrive at an effective solution
  • Background in collaborating closely with cross-functional delivery teams and effectively translating design and interaction requirements for development. 
  • Basic understanding of web technologies to form feasible ideas & solutions
  • Exceptional information design, typesetting, design and layout skills, as well as a solid understanding and application of design systems
