This role reports to the Product Manager for Incident & Emergency Management Technology (IEMT) and supports the delivery of products and services within the Frontline Technology Domain. The Frontline Technology Domain forms part of the Information, Communications and Digital Technology Division (ICDT) within the Information, Systems and Security Command (ISSC).

Incident & Emergency Management Technology's primary products and services include:

  • ePDR – Electronic Patrol Duty Returns
  • PEEC (WebEOC) - Emergency and Event Management system
  • LEDR MKII – electronic data entry of forms and incident reports into LEAP.
  • IFS – Incident Fact Sheets

Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements. This position is a fixed-term contract to fill maternity leave until the 15 October 2021.

In this role you will be required to:

  • Develop a strong working and technical understanding of IEMT products and services and provide escalation and subject matter expertise to assist Information Systems Security Command (ISSC) customers to resolve technical, business process and user issues.
  • Work on a range of deliverables to produce quality outcomes within specific deadlines, ensuring the best result for IEMT's customers.
  • Develop and maintain influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to; gather information, provide subject matter expertise, advice and support to operational members, and manage customer expectations.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities (meetings, workshops, focus groups, training and presentations).
  • Actively engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs, documenting clear and concise user stories and requirements, and translating complex information into service requests.
  • Contribute to the administration, enhancement and testing of applications in support of business as usual and project activities.
  • Actively engage with stakeholders to ensure that change activities are successfully implemented and evaluated.
  • Oversee Position Based Email Accounts and Service Management tools; actioning requests and responding to queries as required.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • 2-3 years' experience working in an IT environment, with an understanding of incident and emergency technologies.
  • Ability to comprehend complex and technical concepts.
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills, including the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus.
  • Sound experience collaborating with a diverse range of business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability effectively monitor stakeholder satisfaction and manage expectations.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and design.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Agile and waterfall principles & techniques.
  • Experience working and using Agile tools and service delivery applications (e.g. Jira, Service Manager).
  • Sound Microsoft 365 skills.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • A sound understanding and exposure to incident and emergency management applications is highly desirable.
