Based out of our Perth office, we are looking for a Development Manager to join our Network & Property team. You will be responsible for generating strategies and recommendations to help grow the bp retail fuel portfolio, contribute to the network planning process and be a driver in the optimisation of growth in WA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to bp's financial performance through the identification, assessment, acquisition and development of new site opportunities aligned to our retail strategy
  • Initiate and source development opportunities, negotiate and manage deals, continually build and maintain a future pipeline
  • Build the region's White Spot Analysis, Network Plan & align businesses and key partners to the execution of the Network Plan
  • Support the divestment strategy and property portfolio optimisation in accordance with the businesses retail strategy and network plan
  • Understand commercial drivers of the channels of trade in order to support alignment of opportunities across bp's fuels strategy
  • Create and deliver succinct business cases, reporting changes and provide adjustments where necessary, forecast and manage budget and milestone schedule


About You:
To be considered for this role, you will have extensive experience in the delivery of new property acquisitions, divestments, lease arrangements and development opportunities. Your strong negotiation skills, relationship management and proactive approach will be highly utilised in driving our retail strategy forward.
Other essential skills and attributes include:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business or Property or equivalent
  • Solid understanding of property legal concepts, transactions, documents and the dynamics of the property & development industry
  • Proven commercial acumen and experience in managing commercial contracts, including acquisitions, leases & sales and leasebacks
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting and overall deal management
  • Demonstrated external property market experience
