WHO YOU ARE: 

Talend are looking for a talented, passionate and creative Account Director to drive and lead the Talend relationship with our strategic accounts in Europe. The primary responsibilities of the role are to drive growth across all assigned accounts, maintain key relationships, develop and manage opportunities. You will work closely with clients while you educate and guide them on their Data Fabric journey. Engage in work that matters and drive true business impact for the world’s largest organisations in leveraging their second largest asset, their data. For this we require a tenacious and consultative Account Director who can partner with the wider organisation and our ecosystem of partners to develop the propositions which will best enable our customers to solve their biggest challenges. This newly formed strategic segment supports some of Talend’s largest and most strategic global customers across EMEA to ensure we provide a holistic and consistent engagement with these clients. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to work within an extended team to execute against a sales strategy, manage large complex deals and position the business value of cloud solutions to C-suite and business leaders within your account(s). Strong experience of the full Talend portfolio is essential along with a detailed understanding of our Services capabilities, commercial models and partnering with our delivery teams. 

Responsiblities:  

• Proactively lead the sales effort on a named list of prospect of existing accounts.

• Recommend solutions and influence decisions that drive growth and generate a positive return on investment.

• Establish productive, professional relationships with key executives in assigned customer accounts.

• Coordinate the involvement of all cross-functional resources, including support, service, and multi-level management resources, in order to meet sales performance objectives and customers’ expectations. 

Track record of selling large and complex cloud technology solutions with specific focus on driving business outcomes for clients

• C level executive experience, opening doors across and upselling across the ecosystem.

• Account planning, pipeline management and forecasting

Key Skills and Experience:  

• Self-starter with the ability to build executive relationships, articulate product and business strategies, create demand and close deals

• Ability to lead a virtual team from the various teams of Talend including Marketing, Pre-Sales, Professional Services, and Product Marketing

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills

• Ability to build deep relationships with senior business and technical individuals with the client.

• High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organisations

• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.

• Knowledge of Challenger Sales approach with MEDDPIC qualification DNA.

• Ability to actively listen, hear and understand what is said and not said, and comprehend the meaning and intent.

• Ability to negotiate and explore alternatives and positions to reach outcomes that gain support and acceptance by all parties.

• Ability to persuade and influence, using appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain acceptance of thoughts, plans, activities, services and products.

• Ability to work with key partners to deliver global mission critical programs (Public Clouds & GSI’s)
