Community Support Workers (AOD)
WHOS (WE HELP OURSELVES) HUNTER NSW REGION
The advertised Community Support Worker positions, based in Cessnock, will provide services to people with AOD use disorders and other co-occurring conditions, within the context of a mixed gender residential therapeutic community.
Applicants will need to demonstrate:
* Ability to work with clients that have AOD use disorders and associated issues
* Knowledge of AOD treatment sector
* Expertise with electronic client information and data management systems
* Sound written communication skills
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People are encouraged to apply.

Essential Criteria
1. Minimum qualification, Certificate IV in AOD / Mental Health / Community Services
2. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in working with AOD clients
3. Group work skills
4. Knowledge and understanding of the Therapeutic Community model
5. Knowledge and understanding of harm minimisation
6. Ability to work evening and weekend shifts
7. Commitment to working as part of a team
8. Current First Aid Certificate
9. Current Drivers Licence
10. Computer literacy and word processing skills

* Remuneration is in accordance with the SCHADSI Award
