- $43.50 - $47.50 per hour + Super
We are currently seeking a Community Engagement Project Officer to join the passionate and dedicated Community Planning and Engagement team. This role is responsible for implementing and driving Council's community engagement programs, projects and activities.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Provide expert advice and support to ensure good community engagement practices are taking place across Council for projects requiring community engagement.
- Prepare Media and Communications briefs for design and publication of promotional materials.
- Prepare content and regularly review Council's website to ensure information about key engagement projects and community engagement activities are up-to-date and relevant.
You will have a passion for people and enjoy connecting, networking and engaging with others. You will have the ability to communicate and collaborate with a diverse range of people, building strong rapport and trusted relationships along the way.
The Following Is Also Required
- Degree in Social Policy, Social Sciences, Communications, Community Engagement or equivalent and a Certificate in Engagement from the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) (desirable).
- Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing a range of community engagement projects and techniques.
- Experience in the application of social media and digital technologies.
