The Role
The Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) is an Australian Government Intelligence and security agency. We collect foreign intelligence; we provide advice and assistance on information and cyber security; and we conduct offensive cyber operations.
About our Team
You will be:
- Accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex procedural, operational, administrative and business support work within an integrated workforce.
- You will provide detailed administration, professional and policy advice in relation to complex work and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management, finance and policy development.
- Identify and interpret relevant legislation, policies, strategies, business and team requirements and apply these to the work area.
- You will work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes of their work.
- You will lead a team and be accountable to set work priorities and manage workflows.
- You will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders’ needs and expectations to achieve work unit and ASD outcomes.
Our Ideal Candidate
The Australian Signal Directorate is looking for a highly motivated ASD 6 Corporate Support Officer to fulfil a vacancy within ASD. As a Corporate Support Officer, you will be accountable to ensure your team has knowledge of and are compliant with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and ASD’s mission and policy requirements.
You will have a willingness to learn (from others and independently); and an ability to think critically to apply technical expertise to unconventional situations.
The successful candidate will be required to relocate to Alice Springs for an initial period of two years with an option to extend by mutual agreement.
