About the role: Dynamic new role within our Customer and Commercial team, developing and executing service design plans for our Bulk East division. Ensuring our supply chain designs are innovative and flexible, you will big-picture focused as you take a wholistic approach to supply chain service design.

  • Ensure development and execution of supply chain design responses and operating plans which optimise the supply chain and maximise asset yield.
  • Monitors weekly and monthly operational trends and makes adjustments to operating plans to ensure ongoing continuous improvement and achievement of corporate productivity targets.
  • Works with customers and external 3rd parties to ensure integrated and innovative supply chain planning occurs driving new business, contract renewals, and productivity within Aurizon and across the supply chain for a given line of business.
  • Investigate, develop, and evaluate operational solutions for supply chain improvement initiatives, including the development of innovative solutions for rail and road services and bulk logistics handling to assist in the reaching of corporate productivity goals.
  • Liaise with and manage execution and integration of operational reforms and improvements across the function

About you: You are an innovative, out-of-the-box thinker with strong leadership experience. Your exposure to the transport industry will see you excel in this role as will your ability to influence and generate change. You have your finger on the pulse regarding operational trends and have a customer centric approach.

  • High level of skill in developing and providing logistical support within a commercial freight business for large volume movements
  • High level leadership, communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to conduct presales activities with senior/major accounts
