Job Description:

Position Title: Administration Officer - Emergency Department

Employment Type: Permanent, Part Time

Hours per week: 16 hours (minimum)

Position Grade: Administration Officer Level 3

Salary: $59,763.25 - $61,730.90 (pro-rata)

Enterprise Agreement: Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations’ Health Employees Agreement 2019

Position Summary:

A vacancy exists for a highly motivated person with appropriate working hour flexibility, knowledge and skills, to join our friendly, supportive and very "busy" 24 hour 7 day a week roster in the Emergency Department. The successful applicant(s) will be expected to be able to provide roster cover for vacant day and night shifts as a result of regular gaps in the roster, unexpected leave, illness and those shifts not covered by full time staff. This can be with minimal notice. The hours required for this position would not suit university study.

  • Do you have previous experience and are familiar with the health industry, or do you feel your work skills could translate to our Emergency Department where you would be interviewing and registering patients arriving in our ED by ambulance?

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks in a demanding environment
  • Ability to interview, liaise with and be supportive of patients from a wide demographic presenting with a vast range of medical and surgical conditions to the Emergency Department.
  • A commitment to attention and detail measured by performance reviews
