About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Personal Injuries team as a full-time Legal Assistant on a 12 month fixed term contract. Based in our Darwin office, you will use your established skill set to support our busy team in an administrative capacity.
Responsibilities:
- You’ll be here to help our clients with your strong customer service and communication skills
- Provide important updates and share information with our clients
- Electronic filing and electronic file management
- Scanning & photocopying
- Play a key role in our legal team by preparing correspondence, court documents and briefs as requested
- Assist with opening files
- Arrange and manage appointments with our clients
- Manage our incoming mail
- Support a team of busy lawyers and Office Coordinator
- Assisting with reception duties as required
- Handle plenty of ad hoc administrative tasks as they hit your desk
What we’re looking for in you:
- Experience in admin/support role/s
- Excellent client service skills as you’ll be engaging with a diverse range of people from different backgrounds
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Super eye for detail
- A multi-tasker who can handle several task at once
- A team player with the ability to work independently
- Enviable organisation skills
- Skills using Microsoft Office
- And finally, we’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about, and wants to help people
