An exciting opportunity for two Cardiac Technologists to join the Cardiology Diagnostic Unit at John Hunter Hospital on a temporary part time basis!

Remuneration: $32.42 - $46.96 per hour

About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists at John Hunter Hospital (JHH) Cardiology Department for two Grade 1 Cardiac Technologists to join the cardiac team on a temporary part time basis. The positions will be part time for a temporary period to assist with the provision of cardiac technical services. The successful applicants will perform a variety of cardiac investigations on both inpatient and outpatient clients, including ECG, various stress tests, ambulatory BP and holter recording, monitoring support for angiography procedures and implant and follow-up support for cardiac devices.

The successful applicants will be well supported with orientation and individual training plans. Ongoing training and further education opportunities will be supported and encouraged.

Where you'll be working:
The positions are based in the Cardiology Diagnostic Unit. The unit provides cardiology monitoring and diagnostic testing across many areas of the hospital. Technical staff work a fixed roster and provide 24/7 on-call service outside of normal hours. The technical team has staff at different grade levels, experience and interests and there are opportunities to investigate all areas of cardiac diagnostics.

About you:
You will be a motivated Cardiac Technologist with an appropriate degree and additional education, training and experience in cardiac diagnostic tests. You will be an effective team worker with excellent communication and problem solving skills and the ability to also work well autonomously. Your commitment to continued professional development and willingness to embrace new technologies will be beneficial in this role.
