JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic? Take this opportunity to work with the Brisbane City Council in Willawong on a three-month project with possibility to be extended. Play your part in keeping Brisbane running by maintaining and repairing their fleet of over 1200 vehicles.

About your new role

This opportunity will have you working in a garage environment and becoming responsible for the maintenance and repair of Brisbane City Council Buses. You can be expected to:

  • Undertake repair, maintenance and servicing of vehicles
  • Perform diagnostics and resolve mechanical problems
  • Preventive maintenance including inspection, tire rotation, oil changes.
  • Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the workshop
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers to deliver cost effect timely service
  • Keeping detailed records of each job including all parts and materials


What you will need to exceed

It is essential that you have experience working as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, preferably in a bus or coach environment.

  • Current Australian Heavy Vehicle Trade Certificate (required)
  • Valid HR driver’s license (beneficial)
  • Bus Industry Experience (beneficial)
