Primary objective

Ensure the provision of comprehensive financial, human resources, information technology and administration services for

the Alice Springs Cultural Precinct including timely and accurate financial transactions and financial reporting. Provide

proactive leadership to the administration team and assist with the delivery of the Visual and Performing Arts Program of

the Araluen Arts Centre.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Ensure the timely and accurate processing, approval and reporting of all financial transactions in accordance with

relevant legislation and departmental procedures.

2. Provide proactive leadership, supervision and development opportunities to the administration team to ensure

provision of comprehensive financial and administrative services.

3. Oversee the development and implementation of policies, procedures, financial and administrative management,

promotion and service provision within the Precinct.

4. Provide strategic financial and Human Resource (HR) advice, management and reporting to the Alice Springs Cultural

Precinct Management team.

5. Check, distribute and monitor the processing of all agreements and contracts and ensure compliance with Treasury

and Departmental requirements.

6. Research, analyse and prepare Ministerial briefings and submissions.

7. Oversee the effective provision of Information Technology (IT) services.

8. Assist to co-ordinate the administration and delivery of the Araluen Art House Cinema Program.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Extensive experience in an administrative management position.

2. Proven ability to effectively and appropriately communicate with staff, the public and all levels of Government.

3. Sound knowledge and experience in the development, implementation and monitoring of strategic directions, policies

and procedures.

4. Awareness of contractual and legal matters.

5. Sound knowledge of and experience in human resource matters including Work Health and Safety.

6. Demonstrated ability to motivate, lead and counsel staff and resolve conflict.

7. Sound understanding and experience in information technology management matters.

Desirable

1. Experience of administration management in the performing or visual arts.
