The Contract
Ventia will put the customer at the centre of everything we do through the Sydney Roads Asset Performance Contract. We aspire to deliver a step change in the delivery of road and ITS maintenance and management services in the western Parkland zone of Metropolitan Sydney and further ITS services through the rest of regional NSW. We will be driven by outcomes that will consider customers, stakeholders and places in our decision making and will drive sustainability through service delivery. The Role
Reporting to the Network Delivery Hub Manager, the key purpose of this role is to support the NDH and pre-works engineers to ensure optimum production for maintenance activities on the SRAP Parklands contract through the optimum planning, resourcing and scheduling of maintenance activities. In addition to this, this role supports the direct maintenance team ensuring they are appropriately resourced to efficiently complete the daily works plan.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the day to day operations of the SRAPC Parklands network by acting as the conduit between the Network Delivery Hub and maintenance teams to ensure works are efficiently scheduled/dispatched and crews are appropriately resourced for the task
  • Supporting the NDH officers and maintenance teams to ensure project standards and quality are achieved
  • Providing input into and deliver to operations and maintenance teams, a weekly lookahead plan
  • Ensuring maintenance activities are conducted in a cost-effective manner and support maintenance teams in meeting project budgets
  • Collecting and collating KPI data to demonstrate and monitor adherence to the performance framework
  • Driving continuous improvement, identifying synergies in and between crews, contractors and tactical work
  • Filling in for NDH officers when the team is unable to meet 24/7 operations due to injury or illness
  • Monitoring and verifying work activities are occurring in accordance with project plan for both timeline and productivity checks
  • Coordinating with SHEQ team to ensure Inductions and mandatory qualifications/training of staff and subcontractors are maintained
Requirements:
  • Engineering qualification or similar with demonstrated experience in road/asset infrastructure maintenance desirable
  • Drivers licence
  • Knowledge of Civil Construction / Road Maintenance practices
  • Advanced Microsoft Office, MS Project skills and knowledge, and Works Management and scheduling competencies
  • Coding SQL / VBA or similar
  • Demonstrated experience managing civil and pavement works
  • Demonstrated works scheduling and planning experience
  • Current Driver Licence
  • Intelligent Transport Systems experience desirable
  • Asset Vision / SAP / GIC experience desirable
