The Opportunity

This pivotal role will see you assisting the Team Leader Facilities Management in providing a high level of corporate and civic support to the Moonee Valley City Council organisation. You will undertake a variety of tasks including; meeting room set-ups, catering arrangements, presentation cleaning as well as the provision of other corporate support.


  • Oversee the opening and closing of Council’s Civic Centre for meetings and functions held outside of normal business hours;
  • Arrange meeting room set-ups ensuring all equipment is provided and in working order;
  • Manage catering orders, arrange table settings and clear room following completion;
  • Undertake scheduled presentation cleaning (sport cleaning, internal windows etc); and,
  • Assist with the maintenance of kitchenettes including stocking consumables.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven and demonstrated experience in hospitality, catering or facilities management;
  • Understanding of OHS procedures including manual handling;
  • Working knowledge of setting up audio-visual equipment and hearing loops;
  • Current Level 1 First Aid Certificate; and,
  • Responsible Serving of Alcohol Certificate and Accredited Certificate in Food Handling/Hygiene.
