JOB DESCRIPTION

Your role focus will be:

You, our Technical Specialist will be responsible for providing and applying subject matter expertise across all projects within the Emergency Services Business Unit. This role will work on the overall solution of projects that have new software features, new software enhancements or new hardware. Partnering with internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure each solution delivered to the customer meets the agreed requirements.


As the subject matter expert, you will be the go-to person on the project team for all things relating to software and hardware changes. You will work with the relevant team member to advise of the best solution/s to overcome encountered issue and escalate issues early to the Professional Services Manager. 

Our ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a faced paced environment.


Your Key Role Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the delivery of all technical aspects of all projects.
  • Ensure the agreed solution requirements are delivered and meet customer needs.
  • Actively identify possible technical issues/concerns in a project as early as possible.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to provide subject matter expertise & deliver complex solutions.
  • Recommend software features, appropriate technologies, and technical requirements for our projects.
  • Identify and breakdown the various technical tasks that are required to complete a project and deliver the required solution.
  • Research, analyse and document solution requirements in accordance with company and customer procedures.
  • Support project teams’ members in order to deliver the agreed solution to the customer.
  • Attend customer meetings and briefings as required.
  • Apply appropriate skills in IT activities as required.


You our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or another related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience working in a technical role dealing with mobile devices/infrastructure and cloud-based environments.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a professional client-facing role.
  • Proven experience managing key stakeholders to deliver effective and successful projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage internal and external stakeholder expectations.
  • Previous experience working with the emergency service sector would be advantageous.
  • Technical experience in some of the following areas: Software development; Network administration (WAN and LAN); Scripting; Hardware design; Firmware development.
