The Role
In this permanent full-time role, based in Richmond, you will be responsible for level-3 technical support and maintenance of business and clinical applications used across the organisation. These will include applications installation, configuration, testing, upgrade, and troubleshooting application-related incidents/problems. You will be part of the Applications team within the IT Department and report to the Application Team Leader.

You will make an impact by:

• Serving as an escalation point of contact for advanced application support issues.
• Handling complex issues related to supporting a large number of widely differing application systems and large data sets.
• Working with users across a broad range of areas within the hospital to understand IT issues and requirements.
• Collaborating with Information Technology team members and vendors to deliver the right application solutions that support business objectives.
• Ensuring application solutions align with overall technology strategies and governance frameworks.

You will have

• Strong technical experience and knowledge in supporting critical business systems in large organisations
• Intermediate MS SQL programming skills and understanding of relational databases
• Intermediate programming and scripting skills using a variety of programming/scripting languages
• Ability to implement, support, and maintain applications in Windows Server environments
• Advanced technical and problem solving skills with strong capabilities in resolving application issues
• Some knowledge of project management and/or exposure to project based work
• Excellent stakeholders and vendors management skills
• Good written and oral communication skills with ability to covey ideas in a user-friendly language
• Strong critical thinking skills and analytical abilities
• Good interpersonal skills
