DFP Recruitment is seeking a Provisional Psychologist to join our clients Health and Wellbeing team who support Employment & Training clients and assist in the management of their health and wellbeing.

Our client is a values-based social enterprise that balances its very successful commercial businesses of Manufacturing, Supply Chains Services and Employment & Training services with the delivery of Disability Care, NDIS and Housing programs. Their purpose is to enhance the lifestyle and independence of their clients and people with disability.

Applicants who are ready to complete their internship in psychology, either as a 4+2 or 5+1 pathway and who are either provisionally registered with AHPRA or eligible for a provisional registration with AHPRA are encouraged to apply.

This is a rare opportunity for the successful candidate to complete their psychology internship in a fully supported environment where there is dedicated time to complete AHPRA requirements and at the site a primary supervisor to support with all aspects of the internship.

Your role will consist of but not limited to:

  • Provide evidence-based clinical interventions to diverse cohorts – including people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Conduct strengths-based specialist vocational assessment
  • Maintain record keeping practices in line with ethical, legislative and organisation expectations
  • Develop and foster strong collaborative relationships with various stakeholders
  • Provide case reviews and discuss client progress with stakeholders
  • Actively contribute to and participate in internal quality improvement and clinical support practices
  • Maintain professional registration and adhere to ethical, legislative, and organisational requirements
You will have:
  • Current registration or eligibility for provisional registration with AHPRA
  • Experience working with people from vulnerable cohorts including people with disability
  • Understanding of motivational interviewing and relapse prevention strategies including return to work strategies
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with key stakeholders to mutual benefit
  • Strong values alignment with a passion to support vulnerable people to make positive change
  • A growth mindset where with a dedication to learning and engaging in self-reflective practices
  • Skilled in the use of computers/clinical software
  • Excellent organisation skills with a flexible approach to work
  • Current unrestricted drivers licence
