This exciting career opportunity provides specialised engineering services to achieve the sites strategic plans, engineering and reliability objectives and maximising cost effectiveness of the operation.

Accountabilities

  • Undertake improvement projects ensuring cost effectiveness and acceptable risk management for operations
  • Actively develop and maintain a participative/collaborative team environment by clearly demonstrating the expected leadership/team behaviors and maintain effective communication and relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Adopt a continuous improvement approach to reviewing new strategies and technologies for implementation to improve equipment performance
  • Ensure external contractors and internal resources conform to the SH&E policies, standards and procedures by conducting regular safety audits and regular monitoring for risk assessments and corresponding control measures to reduce identified hazards to as low as reasonably practical (ALARP)
  • Ensure that all internal customer requirements are maintained by reviewing and evaluating all relevant information produced from plant information systems, regular production/reliability/plant modification project systems
What you will need to succeed
  • Degree in Engineering - Electrical, Mechatronic, Electronic or similar
  • Experience in Industrial Control and Automation (PLC and SCADA) design, software development, testing, commissioning and fault finding.
  • Experience in Industrial Communications, Protocols and Network Design
  • A proven and genuine commitment to positive health, safety and environment outcomes
  • Demonstrable experience managing and mitigating workplace risks
  • Experience in a heavy industry setting, working within a similar role in a 24/7 manufacturing or mining environment
  • Excellent communication ability with strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience in project management with strong change management experience
  • A willingness to work autonomously and proactively whilst achieving team-based outcomes
  • The demonstrated ability to influence and drive a collaborative, innovative safe working culture
  • A highly principled attitude towards the workplace and your team’s wellbeing
  • Creative problem-solving skills with the tenacity and resilience to implement solutions
  • A willingness to adopt learnings from, and share learnings with, other sites across the business related to maintenance
