Duties:
Primary Purpose / Focus :
The Property Services Manager will be responsible for managing all physical facilities (staff accommodation) for Communities Tasmania.
Working within this context, the Property Services Manager will:
- Work with the Department of Treasury and Finance, and under the Bureau Service Model with the Department of Health, to manage and maintain the physical facilities (staff office accommodation) for Communities Tasmania, in accordance with the Department of Treasury and Finances 'Office Accommodation Fit out Guidelines'.
- Work with all Divisions of Communities Tasmania to ensure their physical facilities (staff office accommodation) are proactively managed in accordance with the 'Office Accommodation Fit out Guidelines'.
- Oversee and manage approved accommodation projects for new and existing physical facilities (staff office accommodation) for Communities Tasmania.
- Manage effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the appropriate day-to-day operation of all Communities Tasmania staff accommodation.
- Provide high-level strategic advice to the Executive Director, Capabilities and Resources and the broader Agency Executive in relation to all aspects of the Communities Tasmania staff accommodation portfolio.
- Represent the Division at meetings with stakeholders and negotiate outcomes within approved parameters.
- Demonstrated high level knowledge and experience in property management within the context of staff office accommodation facilities, together with experience in managing client expectations for property management related activities.
- Demonstrated high level knowledge and experience in project management, ideally in the property management area or can identify how the project management experience is transferrable to a property management environment.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, liaison, conflict resolution and negotiation skills, with the capacity to produce high quality documents in a variety of communication formats for a range of target audiences and the proven ability to build effective working relationships to create consensus and gain agreement to proposals and ideas.
