JOB DESCRIPTION
Systems Connect (an unincorporated joint venture between CPB Contractors and UGL Limited) is delivering Line-wide work for Sydney Metro City & Southwest, including installing metro rail track, power systems, communications, signalling systems and infrastructure to turn the excavated tunnels into a working railway between Chatswood and Sydenham. Line-wide work also includes the permanent systems, services and buildings required for Sydney Metro operations between Chatswood and Bankstown.
We are seeking a Communications Coordinator to join our Stakeholder & Communications Team. Experience in a communication and/or infrastructure delivery environment will be highly regarded.
The Communication Coordinator role will provide support to the team to ensure that communication and community engagement efforts are supported by appropriate systems and processes and high quality and timely production of collateral and other materials.
About the Role
The Communications Coordinator will
- Maintain systems and processes that provide ongoing communications and administrative support and organisation to the wider-team. Examples include:
Organise and attend doorknocks/drop in information sessions and distribute associated collateral
Maintain stakeholder spreadsheets and manage supplier bookings
Track and record stakeholder and community issues, concerns, suggestions and complaints
Undertake administrative tasks related to communication activities - sourcing capable and cost-effective suppliers of goods and services, invoicing, procurement, printing, and filing
Draft notifications, newsletters and other communications collateral, as required
Assist with the coordination of site photography and event management, including site visits and media events.
About You

Relevant tertiary qualification and / or equivalent employment experience
High level communication and administrative skills and stakeholder/client management, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Experience in a similar role in an infrastructure environment is highly regarded, but not essential
Demonstrated experience with a range of communication channels and platforms, including online and digital
Experience and skills preferably in both internal and external communication is highly regarded but not essential
Proven ability to work under pressure with a sound working knowledge of government imperatives, governance and decision-making processes.
Demonstrated high level organisation skills and capacity to deliver high quality outcomes within agreed budgets and timeframes.
