Finance Officer
Children, Young People & Families - John Hunter Children's Hospital

John Hunter Children's Hospital functions as an autonomous facility with its own management structure and independent clinical support functions. The Children's Hospital provides complex medical, surgical, major trauma and neonatal care services for Northern NSW and is part of The Children, Young People and Families Directorate of Hunter New England Local Health District.

About the role:
The Finance Officer is an invaluable member of the Business and Performance Unit for Children, Young People and Families. The position is located within the John Hunter Children’s Hospital based at New Lambton and works very closely with the Finance Manager. Training will be provided by the Finance Manager however a base knowledge of accounting principles and health systems would be advantageous.

The successful applicant will be a proactive and diligent individual who is able to work with a wide range of people and personalities, is well organised and has a willingness to learn. You will possess effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team that understands and practices quality improvements and customer service principles.
