How will I help?
Reporting to the Executive Manager, Controls Optimisation, you will be instrumental in the strategic development of the Business Controls & Monitoring team. You will be responsible for supporting a new line of business on all matters risk and control, supporting implementation of solutions to risk and control problems and driving a consistent uplift of risk management practices.

Duties will also include but not limited to the following:

  • Ensuring the divisional and business operations and risk management practices align to the frameworks, policies, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, and appetite of the Group.
  • Support the business with Group standards and developing consistent and complementary control environment for priority risk classes.
  • Assist with identification of common controls across line of business teams that can be standardised/ centralised.
  • Assist with the oversight of Business Division wide control testing activity, results, and actions/ impact, and identify opportunities for enhancement/streamlining. Ensure control monitoring is in line with Group target state guidance.

A strong candidate will bring 5+ years of operational risk, compliance, or legal advisory within the Financial Services industry. You will have a desire to get involved in the work and be a key part of delivering on different initiatives in a changing environment as no two days will be the same. You will have a proactive and outcomes focused mindset. You will also be proficient in your verbal and written communication skills.
