Plenty of opportunities to achieve results and make an impact
The safety and wellbeing of our employees and potential employees is important to us. We are giving Candidates the option to interview face-to-face or via Zoom. The reasons for this are not only to protect the health and safety of our people, but also to assure candidates that there is no expectation from REA to meet face-to-face. If you have any questions or concerns, this can be discussed through the screening process.
We’re REA
An Australian start-up success story we’re quietly proud of.
From a garage in Melbourne to the global stage is an achievement we’re humbled by. Our idea to put pictures of houses on the internet has blossomed since 1995, and we now have businesses across Australia, Asia, India and North America.
Our purpose is to change the way the world experiences property. No matter where you’re at on your property journey, we’re here to help on every step – whether that’s buying, selling, renting or renovating.
Some of our brands include realestate.com.au, realcommercial.com.au, spacely.com.au, Flatmates.com.au, Smartline.com.au and Hometrack.com.au.
What it’s like to work for us…
Our people are our greatest asset. Without them, we would not be the successful business that we are today. That’s why we offer a range of benefits to ensure we hire and retain great staff.
We offer:
An annual reward and recognition program for staff who are kicking goals throughout the year
A day off for volunteer leave, to ensure you have the opportunity to give back to your community.
An Employee Community Grants program to show you that we care about your community just as much as you do
Additional day off for your birthday
Industry-leading, gender-neutral parental leave
What you will be doing…
As an Account Consultant, you will work within our Residential Line of Business (LoB), as part of our sales team. In this phone-based role, you will develop relationships that ultimately help shape and develop the business of the real estate agents you speak with. At REA, we appreciate flexibility comes in all shapes and sizes. If necessary, we can accommodate flexible start/finish times for this role.
Day to day, you can expect to:
Be up for some variety as no two days are the same!
Plan ahead to maintain and build relationships with 600+ customers
Provide support to our customers by responding promptly to inbound calls and emails
Own your relationships with your customers to influence the success of their business by utilizing digital products available to them on realestate.com.au
Manage retention and selling solutions, not products, to our customers
Work alongside a supportive and knowledgeable team
What we’re looking for…
In our sales team, you are a key part of helping small real estate businesses with digital marketing strategies through building strong relationships over the phone.
To do this, we need someone who can (tip to help with applying: if you have this experience please make sure this is on your resume):
Adapt and thrive in an evolving environment
Demonstrate success in a previous sales role (if that experience is over the phone, that will be highly regarded)
Understand the real estate industry (whether that is from working in real estate, being a tenant, landlord, homeowner… we don’t mind, as long as you can demonstrate this understanding)
Bring a passion for digital products
Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills in a high-pressure, busy environment
Understand the importance of team in a sales environment
Demonstrate resilience and a determination to succeed
Experience with MS Office suite is essential – and experience with Salesforce will be highly regarded
But we don’t just look for someone based on their skills and expertise. We need someone who is going to fit in with the team and company culture. That means you also need to be:
Savvy minded and have the ability to think a little left of field / outside the box
A strong and creative communicator
Digitally savvy (being a tech company, we need to know that you love all things tech)
Friendly, approachable and have good relationship management skills
An avid supporter of our fully inclusive culture - we celebrate difference and ensure that everyone belongs
If you like the sound of us, then we think you should throw your hat in the ring. While we take a look at your application, we encourage you to get to know us a bit more through our various social channels.
