The Role

We are looking for A Science Technician (Vaccine Production) to work with large state government organisation. You will be working in a clean room environment using aseptic techniques. Your work will support the production of a tick fever vaccine that is readily available, safe, effective and to the highest standards.

  • Provide support to the Vaccine Production laboratory supervisor by overseeing schedule daily operations.
  • Undertake laboratory procedures in a pharmaceutical clean room environment involved in the processing of vaccines and other biological products.
  • Vaccine preparation and dispensing, laboratory and equipment cleaning and sanitation, vaccine packing and distribution, general laboratory duties (stock preparation, membrane filtration, restocking, autoclaving)
  • Receive goods, maintain storage areas in a tidy and organised manner and maintain flow of supplies from storeroom to VPU facility.
  • Maintain equipment to QMS standard and report and rectify equipment or process failures in the laboratory.

To be considered for this exciting and challenging opportunity, you will have the following experience;

  • Associate Diploma in Biological Science from a recognised tertiary institution, or equivalent academic qualifications.
  • Vaccination or immunity to Q Fever will be mandatory. Commitment to obtain vaccination or evidence of prior vaccination will be required prior to starting
