Due to developments in our business, we have an exciting opportunity for a HR Administrator who has strong organisational and communication skills.

The position will form part of a multidisciplinary Human Resources team under the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer, working 3 days a week with the possibility to work additional hours on exciting business projects. The role requires a self-starter with strong communication skills, balanced by a degree of initiative and reliance. The role liaises with other high performing teams to ensure effective management of HR activities and staff engagement, including continuous improvement.

You will have:
  • Previous working experience in a Human Resources or Recruitment administration role
  • Understanding of Human Resources office administration requirements, including systems and database management
  • Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Diploma or relevant tertiary qualification (desirable) or equivalent experience
  • Basic knowledge of Awards, NES, the Fair Work Act
Responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring confidentiality, compliance and accurate record keeping of personnel files, HR documentation, relevant HR systems, policies and procedures as well as ensuring databases are well maintained
  • Prepare HR documents such as position descriptions, job advertisements, contracts and letters
  • Coordinate employee induction, onboarding and exit process
  • Assisting the HR team with the preparation of monthly and ad-hoc reports
  • Participate in HR meetings including coordinating agenda items and actions arising
  • Conduct phone screening, reference checks and coordinate interview process (face-to-face and via Teams)
  • Coordinate business events including staff awards, Christmas functions and other ad hoc functions
  • Providing assistance to the team as required
  • Assisting with ad hoc tasks and projects as required

  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable and able to deal effectively with deadlines and evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills including business writing capabilities
  • Ability to maintain databases, collate data and undertake analysis
  • Can work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team
