Senior Regional Agreements Officer/ Senior Agreements Officer

Level 6 | Pool Ref AV7294

  • The Project Agreements branch currently manages over $250 million in State Government grant funding provided to Local Governments and Non-Government Organisations
  • It is primarily responsible for the management and design of a wide variety of funding agreements in DPIRD, in particular all agreements associated with the Royalties for Regions program in alignment with the Royalties for Regions Act 2009.
  • The branch also retains responsibility for the activation of State Government election commitments and the overall management and coordination of specific grant funding programs including the Regional New Industries Fund and Regional Economic Development Grants.

The Opportunity.

In this exciting opportunity you will develop and implement program and agreement management to deliver investment and regional development outcomes for the Department. You will also proactively build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and deliver regional and strategic programs and or projects to establish the socio-economic foundations for development that drive growth and investment.

This pool will include various locations across Western Australia. Appointment into these various locations will be subject to suitability of preferred applicants and availability of appropriate office locations.

The Ideal Candidate.

We are seeking individuals who demonstrate the experience in negotiating and undertaking program and agreement management with a wide range of clients. You will also have knowledge and understanding of regional and strategic programs, as well as have the ability to communicate and build relationships with external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have the ability to problem solve complex programs and agreements to meet organisational needs.

Experience with SmartyGrants (or other similar grants management systems) would be advantageous.

To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia. To be eligible for a fixed term or a casual appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract and this is required as part of your application.

Subject to appointment, successful applicants will be required to:

  • provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy before commencing employment;
  • obtain and provide a current National Police Certificate (police clearance) before commencing employment;
  • complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement.
  • a current and valid western Australian c (Car) class driver’s licence or equivalent is required (if not currently held must be acquired prior to commencement at the applicants expense).

The pool will be valid for a period of twelve (12) months following finalisation of the process and may be used to fill permanent and fixed term, full time and part time opportunities that may arise in this period. Please note, being appointed to the pool does not guarantee you placement to a position.
