About the role

2 East is a 22 bed Geriatric Evaluation and Management Unit, (GEM). Clients are mainly elderly, over 65 requiring slow stream rehabilitation, evaluation for safe discharge destination and cognitive assessment and management

The ward clerk is the face of 2 EAST greeting all traffic and visitors. Needs to work collaboratively with nursing and multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient, effective and responsive operation of allocated work

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Computer competent:; with excellent working knowledge of Patient Management systems, Microsoft word and Excel


• Advanced telephone skills and clerical skills


• A strong commitment to high quality care


• The ability to work as part of a diverse team


• Excellent communication and organisational skills
