The Data Manager is accountable to the Head of Unit, Pain Management Unit, for contributing to the establishment and analysis of quality performance data in order to inform key performance outcomes including (but not limited to) waiting list and electronic Persistent Pain Outcome Collaboration (ePPOC) data. The position involves the planning, design, development, collection and implementation of information and data to assist performance measurement with an emphasis on process re-engineering, quality improvement and outcome measurement. The incumbent supports research as well as outcome monitoring by co-ordinating the data provision for health services and planning and evaluation.
Having proven ability to apply high level scientific judgement and initiative and work with professional independence, you will possess a high degree of analytical skills. Working effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team with both clinical and research staff, you will communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide range of individuals and organisations. You will be able to determine strategies and priorities and analyse and resolve complex issues to meet corporate objectives. Possessing a high level attention to detail, you will operate effectively under pressure and within limited time constraints. Self motivated, with a high degree of initiative, you will be organised and capable of successfully achieving results within agreed time frames.

You will hold a Bachelor of Science or Applied Science or equivalent.

This is a part time vacancy, working up to 60 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
